Arts and Crafts

§     Add the desired color of food coloring to playdough and set it out on the art table

§     Dip cooked spaghetti in the desired color of paint and let it "dance" across white paper

§     String the desired color of buttons on matching colored telephone wire to make necklaces

§     Add food coloring to white glue to coordinate with the color of the day

·     Freeze water tinted gray with food coloring in milk cartons to make ice sculptures for the water table

·     Use gray paper cups for stacking in pyramids or for counting

·     Tint rice with gray food coloring to use for sensory table play

Snacks and Recipes

 

Pigeon Poop

Made with white chocolate, mini marshmallows and pretzels, this is a yummy snack for Halloween.

INGREDIENTS:

·         5 cups of peanut butter crunch cereal

·         3 cups of Rice Krispies

·         2 cups of skinny pretzels/broken in half

·         2 lbs. of white chocolate

·         2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

PREPARATION:

Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl. Melt white chocolate in double boiler or microwave oven. Pour melted chocolate over the dry ingredients and spread out on wax paper to cool. Break into chunks.

 

Elephant Monkey Choco-Delight

 

1 medium banana
1 cup milk
1 cup chocolate ice cream
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Peel banana and, with a table knife, cut into 1-inch pieces. Place pieces in a plastic freezer bag or wrap in foil; freeze for at least 2 hours. Unwrap banana pieces and place in blender container with milk, chocolate ice cream, and peanut butter. Cover and blend till smooth, stopping blender and scraping down sides, if needed. Makes 3 servings.
