Northview Grade By Grade Library Checkout Information

Students in all grades are responsible for their library books, and are expected to return them in the same condition as when they were checked out.

Elementary schools in the North Kansas City School District do not collect fines for late books. However, if a book is lost or damaged, students are expected to pay the cost for replacement of that book.

*Magazines may be checked out by 3^rd-5^th grades, but must be kept at school.

*Reference books may be checked out by 3^rd-5^th grades, but must be kept at school.

*Additional books may be checked out as needed for classroom projects and assignments.

Kindergarten: May check out 1 book.

Keep for 1 week

1^st Grade: May check out 2 books.

Keep for 1 week

2^nd Grade: May check out 2 books.

Keep for 1 week

Computer catalog searches are allowed after the library catalog has been taught (usually in the Spring).

3^rd Grade: May check out 2 items, one of which may be a magazine.

Keep for 1 week

Computer catalog searches are allowed

May check out reference books

4^th Grade: May check out 2 items, one of which may be a magazine.

Keep for 1 week
