Computer Camp: Day 1

 
       
  Step 1:  Check to see ALL computer usage contracts are on file.
  Step 2:  Go over the Technology Expectations-
Technology Expectations
  1. Keep ALL logins in the Tech Folder
  2. Go ONLY to websites linked to Classroom Website. (remember the 3 click rule)
  3. Take turns using the mouse and keyboard--share
  4. During a project do ALL the typing first, then the decorations (clip art, fonts, colors, etc.)
  5. Keep laptops on tables
  6. Keep food and drinks in office area (desks), not tables
  7. Take care of the laptops and Smartboard
  Step 3: Teach about the hardware of the computer.
  Step 4: Pass out Computer Logins and put them in Technology Folder.
  Step 5: Go over turning on the computers and logging in for the first time.
  Step 6: Teacher then students demonstrate how to get onto the classroom website.
  Step 7: Students practice using the touchpad mouse & typing on the Back to School Webpage
  Step 8: Split the class in half---half on the Back to School Webpage---Half coloring and labeling the parts of the computer, then switch.
