STEPS to Winning the Release of your Principal:

Step 1:  While completing questions 1-8, write the answers on the Alien Question sheet

Step 2:  Take the Sun, Moon and Earth Quiz to make sure you know your 'stuff.'

Step 3:  Make a model of your learning either with material objects, poster board, plan a skit or use software (SmartNotebook, Smart Ideas, PowerPoint, etc.)  for your final project.  Here are some IDEAS.  Check the Evaluation page before you begin!

Step 4:  Prepare to share what you learned with the class, using your model.

  • Your exhaustive search is nearing completion.  You and your teammates are closer to obtaining the release of your principal.  The pre-established questions have been answered, and now you must use your research to create model demonstrating the knowledge that you have gained. Focus on one exciting idea you learned from answering the above questions and make a model.  Here are some examples:

    Phases of the Moon

    Revolution the Earth around the Sun

    How the Sun's position effects Shadows

    What Causes Day and Night?

    The Moon

    The Sun

Carefully read and study the evaluation section so that your team will earn the most points possible for your presentation.  Pay special attention to the requirements for Workload, Attractiveness, Originality, Mechanics, and Content.
 
Once your team has completed the creation of a model, you and your teammates will show it to the High Council.  Again study the evaluation section.  Pay close attention to the requirements for Oral Presentation and Teamwork in order to earn the most points possible.
