Step 3:  Use the note-taking sheet to fill out your Star Outline.

(Not sure how to use this, CLICK HERE for examples from class and the Step-Up to Writing Manual)

Step 4:  Work together to get a rough draft copy of your paper done.  Remember to take turns writing.

Step 5:  Have the rough draft checked by the teacher.

Step 6:  Begin typing your final copy into the presentation program of your choice:  Smart Notebook, Publisher or PowerPoint.

Step 7: Include at least one picture of Martin Luther King, Jr. in your presentation.  Don't forget to save your work!

Step 8:  Check all work to make sure that you have included everything needed for the rubric goals.  Practice reading your paragraph aloud so that you are ready to present your information to others.

Step 9:  Gallery Walk:   Groups will set up their computer with the presentation and share with other groups who will be walking around then switch.  The groups that were sharing their presentations will now walk and look at the other groups work and the groups that were walking will now be sharing.

Step 10:  Each group will be responsible for filling out a 2 Stars and a Wish Sheets on the presentations they saw.
